RE: Does AMAT expect people to run around asking "were chips in this made using AMAT's CVD or some other process was used to make them"?

Sun Tzu, I wonder how some of AMAT's employees are feeling about the company's various cost cutting initiatives while they watch as $30 million gets flushed down the tube. I don't imagine the discussions around the water cooler are sounding anything like...

"Hey, have ya seen the new Applied Materials' commercial on the tube?!"
"Yeah, isn't it great! It's about time Joe did something to spur sales."
"That's for sure. Our stock should really start moving now."
"By the way, when are you taking your unpaid time off?"

The AMAT add I saw on TV showed what seemed to me to be a modern Asian city with professionally dressed people crowding the streets. I am glad I knew that AMAT was a domestic company.<g>
