Why do the Chinese drink Coke or Pepsi or wear Levi jeans or want to drive BMW's or Mercedes?. In each case there is a local product offering that is both significant cheaper and probably just as adequate for the task required. The Chinese will buy Microsoft products because of branding. Thomas

Why, with almost no installed base, and Linux available for free with no license issues, would China send billions of dollars to Redmond?
