LLCF, Just been reading this article, news.ft.com If we are going to be in Europe I think we should take up the Euro and smash the dollars stranglehold on world currencies -g- Maggie Thatchers idea of defending the UK pound to the last is clutching at election straws. It defines the Tories predicament....may work of course <nfg> Otherwise the UK should dump this European idea, bannish 17.5% VAT and join the USA as it's next state imo. I don't mind whether Tony Blair or Willie Hague become State Governor My faith in democracy is at a low at the moment. Some real stress should bring an improvement though -g- pearly.
