Joan:

I'm strictly an amateur in the bond arena but I do think the deflationary forces are just too nasty for Kermit (The Green One) to stop. Obviously he will print until forces within the market put an end to it (are the long bond boyz perhaps doing just that as we speak?), as that is the only weapon he has. And with each coupon pass and "repo", inflation grows. Unfortunately, the staggering global debt levels and the momentum that global deflation has acquired, are unlikely to be denied this time around. We may well end up with the worst of both worlds.

Best, Earlie
