What I think one wants is high quality non callable bonds. Maybe someone on this thread can come up with something better. I am using 30 year treasuries. I have allocated a portion of my capital to this experiment. I have split this capital into 10 pieces and will be collecting as the 30 year interest rates go up. I have currently purchased my first 10th. <g>

If one thinks the rates are going to go through the roof, buying some insurance in puts could lighten the capital losses as the bond continues its sell off.
