That's true. Although. . . Intel has been through huge cycles, bigger slowdowns, etc. Look, the spend your way out of the bottom isn't my idea, though there is some merit to it. As they said in their releases from today's meetings, growth will come from finding the new products and markets, so you can't cut R+D, and then you gotta dominate in those fields, so you gotta spend to do it. It's worked for Intel in the past, though perhaps this time really is different.

We'll know in the fullness of time, as someone wiser than me once said.
