Gottfried, DW states that there three legs for the short term leading indicators, 10 week moving average, bp options, and the high/lows. It takes all three legs to be in the positive, X column, which all are presently at. The bp option is the key short term indicator with the high low and 10week following right behind. However, as we note, all indicators are above the 68% and overbought area. The SEMI's have also moved back up. IMO, I believe that AMAT will be flat for the next few months but could start moving up in July-Sept. especially since the institutions are holding up the stock. Then, Cattie bar the door after the end of the year arrives when the stock explodes into 2002.

I expect most solid technology internet and capital equipment companies to move upward since Greenspan is intent to light a fire under the corporations to purchase capital expenditures. This in turn will serve as the catalyst to increase productivity to hold down inflation and move the GDP forward.

Just my views.
