Hello RIT,

Yep ...

Likewise ...

One thing that I have realized over the last year, is a whole new meaning of "It ain't over till the fat lady sings!"

For now, and until July 6th, I am absolutely committed to Novell, and continuing to pursue the new and developing markets, and partnerships, that I believe could be strategic for Novell. I will give executive management every opportunity that I can, to evaluate and ask questions about what our team is up to, and why we believe these could be so valuable to Novell. I understand that it is my choice when it's "over" ... no one else's.

I know that if/when I leave Novell again, I will have no problem getting involved in any one fo the markets that I have been doing research and development in.

I have been asked to speak at several Wearable Computer conferences, and even offered jobs, due to the vision and understanding of that market that we have developed.

I have been asked to write a paper on the subject of memetics and social/organizational theory and the Singularity, based on my research into personal identity and digital identity management ... even ask to submit it to Ray Kurzweil's site by his staff! (http://www.kurzweilai.net)

I also have created some extensive contacts and partnerships in the areas of presence and instant messaging, wireless, and several other growth markets.

I guess that I'll do what Novell asks of me ... I am still their employee and part of the team ... and then I'll take my ball and go play somewhere else! ;-)

(P.S. Oh yeah ... and I'm engaged to get married in August, so the timing works OK for me ... time to prepare for the wedding, and then a nice honeymoon! ;-)
