I am not quite sure how you arrive at this conclusion based upon the current commercials. How else can you explain wasting $30 Million at the very same time you are laying off your own workforce? If it were me, I would much rather be spending $30M in R&D rather than attempting "to expand awareness among the general public of the benefits brought about through the chips produced by customers using AMAT equipment." Insanity! But since I currently own NVLS and not AMAT, I suggest AMAT cancel all R&D and put the money into an even larger ad campaign.<VBG>
