Momentum Candidates? Yes, Tivo has extraordinary volatility. . . and could move sharply from this level [$11.30]. . . and float is 18.6 m, yet it has traded 3.5 mil as of 10 min into session.

Update: TIVO traded 6 million shares in first 25 min.

And XYBR at $4.60. . . though it has a far higher float than the rest. . . it has that cult following that tends to get behind it heavily when it catches the least bit of momentum.

QXLC. . . don't know a thing about them, but they are volatile and have a very low float. . . under $4 bucks here.

6:33AM QXL ricardo (QXLC) 2.23: European online auctioneer announces that QXL services will be featured via Microsoft's soon-to-be launched Windows XP operating system as well as through Microsoft's instant messaging service.

Having moved 100% on just 1.3 million shares traded. . . and having only a 6.3 mil float, this one could be a big trader all day long. . . and could easily out trade its float. . . giving short-sellers some real trouble. . .especially if CNBC discovers it.

PLUG for the larger caps.
