<Like all companies that want to survive>

Most investors know the famous lore about Montgomery Ward and Sears after WWII. MW played it close to the vest fearing another Great Depression. Sears went out and locked up all the good locations and started expanding. The rest is history. Are PDG and other of their ilk like Monkey Ward? I think so. And who are the "gold Sears" out there? One wonders if a National Gold type play could really burst on the scene by taking a little risk at the present time for a huge payoff? To me there would be a lot of justice in doing so at PDG's expense.
