Barrett's wife was a Republican politician at some level of the government (I forgot which) and Barrett admits he is a staunch Republican. Absolutely nothing wrong with that, but useful to know when interpreting articles.

Possibly Cheney missed a few hundred of the other hightech CEOs.

RE: "Cheney stressed that the power plan would secure future energy supplies while bestowing substantial tax credits and other benefits on companies developing energy-related technology."

Intel's S.I.C. code is in the hightech industry, not the energy industry, so it's not immediately obvious to me how this tax credit helps INTC.
