*OT* CDE has about 40M shares and a market cap of around $60M. They have been issuing shares to pay off their debt. With $188 million in convertibles trading at 45%, they could retire it all for about $85M. It would take close to 60 million shares to do it, leaving current shareholders with 40% of the company and bondholders with 60%. It seems like the way to go to eliminate interest payments and keep the company solvent. I hope they make out better than Sunshine did, or TVX will, by shifting control to bondholders.

(great rise in the bonds)

OK, perhaps not a strong message, but still a message. As to the order on close, IMO an order filled, is still an filled, though I do see your point.
