"Hope you've read what Golding had to say about his book."

No, I didn't. I probably have to concede here that Golding had a message and symbolism for this book that he has explained and that has been examined by everybody for the last fifty years and I am out of that loop. Its context of the adolescent boys is what made the book great and that has been analysed as well. I am pretty sure that my observations on the theme have been confirmed as an extention on that analysis and perhaps one that wasn't intended by Golding. You haven't heard this before?

A lot of middle school teachers use this book. They probably try to convey the message intended by Golding. They may occassionally get the big H message accross to some of the kids. I can pretty much gaurantee a near 100% outcome on the measure I suggested. Little boys get all juiced up over the adventure and excitement and little girls are repulsed by it. I am pretty sure the societal influences I suggested are valid as well.
