How are we not maintaining respectful, tolerant relations?

When Bush blabs his mouth off that we will defend Taiwan against China, and when he blasts China & Cuba for "human rights abuses", that is not maintaining respectful, tolerant relations. IMO, the only thing holding him back from all out harshness and inevitable war is Powell, who is much more open minded and tolerant than Bush and Cheney pretend to be. Clinton is one to visit China and discuss differences of opinion; Bush will sit back as an Isolationist and talk shit all day about any non-Democratic country. Clinton's method earns our country respect and cooperation. Bush's method ends up with increased anamosity towards our country, increased terrorism, and many times all out war. Close minded conservatives simply don't comprehend how egotistical and controlling our country has become to the rest of the world. And we wonder why we aren't on the U.N.'s human rights commission anymore?? Respectful, tolerant RELATIONS require effort on our part; not spiteful attacks and nonchalant gestures.
