Dale: Can't really recall when Sledgehammer was supposed to originally ship, but early in 1999, prior to the naming of the Athlon and Sledgehammer code name, K8 was supposed to ship Q1 2001.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't this the core that was dumped?

If that is true, then the PumpSludger will be at least 18 months late !!

For a simple idea of adding 64 bit extensions, AMD sure is slipping their schedules !
