Even Katherine Ireland, the head of NOW, admitted that the testimony was compelling, and a former (Democratic) prosecutor admitted she had gotten convictions without much more than what NBC showed. It didn't wind up in the courts because so many years had elapsed, the evidence was destroyed or not fresh, and, in any case, Broadderick did not want to go through a big trial, she just wanted to get the matter behind her, and was sick of press inquiries.....
