I don't see any end to the conflict in my lifetime and I suppose you are right in that I do feel more of an affinity with Israel than I do with the Arab Nations.

I have said it before and I will say it again. I just don't believe the US or the UN should be unequally backing one side over the other. If however we maintain doing just so then it's not just their battle against the other side, it's OURS. Now since the US is far mightier than Israel we should have the right to call the shots (why not if it's our war too). If Israel doesn't want the US calling the shots then we pull out and only step back in if requested and PAID out of their own coffers as neutral ambassadors of negotiation.
