I did try the Audi I thought the acceleration was a bit mushy. It was a '96 A4 I tried (I think). Maybe it was the Quattro. Puggy little thing. I couldn't enjoy it. I haven't looked back since. Perhaps the '99-2000+ models are better.

I like Beamers. At least I used to. The higher end cars are very tight, and I liked it. But at some point it started to seem EVERY dang body owned one.

Very VERY true on the Mercedes. Those cars have nothing for me at all.

Dear Zen, you talk the talk of CO2 and global warming and I see you post of 8 second acceleration and very new cars. I an and engineer and i drive my cars into the ground. My honda 1991, still gets 30 to 35 mpg and always starts and has never failed to start except in very wet weather at 118 thousand miles 1997. The bearing in the distributor became lose. I removed the distributor and called around and as the part was 300 I decided to call the dealer. Well the dealer's price was only 250. But as I spoke with the dealer he informed me that there was a recall on the distributor because the bearing had been found not up to snuff in 1993.

Well I asked if they would just give me the distributor as I did not want to put it back together again and drive it over to the dealer and leave it and then have to drive over to the dealer and pick it up. One 20 minute trip is more efficient of time than two. But they could not just give it to me, but the guy said they would come over and tow my car and replace the distributor and then I could go and pick up the car. Zero cost.

Now think about it. A car is built with what is called a faulty part and is recalled, But the faulty part was good for 118 thousand miles and six years. So much for zenny's fear that cars can't be built that never break down. Mine never seem to. But then I am and enginear and i use what I know to select which used car from an original owner I will buy after then have broken it in.

zenny I spend my money on computers, well computer parts as a car is just a hunk of iron and plastic to get me someplace and is not who I am.
me computer is looking at you. thezeneyeofthecomputer.n3.net
I also use mobil 1 to eliminate engine wear.(any synthetic today) and increase gas mileage by 5% at least.

Also by driving a card for 10 15 years I save all the energy of making a car. Now that's conservation.

I am and enginear and you all have a nice day now hear.
