Buckley has turned on quite a few of his former allies. His treatment of Joe Sobran was particularly ignoble. There was a guy who had worked for Buckley for what - 20 years? And Sobran thought they were friends, too.

When Murray Rothbard died, Buckley's obituary in National Review was the literary equivalent to spitting on his grave. The guy has no class. He couldn't come up with one nice thing to say about someone who had worked tirelessly to advance the conservative/libertarian cause.
