Baton, I use MyTrack for my active trading, and I like it. Direct access broker, download their software and try it out for free. TRAC is partly owned by NITE.

mytrack.com

Monitor up to 200 tickers, very fast direct access executions, AIQ live charts, choice of routing for your trades (NITE, HRZG, SOES, MASH, ISLD, REDI etc.), online broker's in their ICQ like chat rooms (Chat channel 3), funding through E-Check and more.

:)

"Am I asking too much? "

Well, perhaps just a bit - lol. But if you can find someone that gives you all that, let me know too.

FWIW, I use several brokers - for daytrading I use Tradeportal (www.tradeportal.com) - They are a direct access broker with free streaming quotes, live charting, free level 2, etc. Commissions vary based on trading frequency but start at $15.95 and go down from there. I like the fact that their front end client sits on your PC 9not web-served) and you can set it up however you want - so if you want a screen with 30 streaming quotes, 3 level 2 screens and 2 live charts you can do so. its completely up to you.

BTW, I also use TD Waterhouse for one of my rollover IRAs. they have gotten a bad rap IMO from some - and there new select product (you qualify based on number of trades) isn't bad - especially at $9.95 a trade. The top level of their select gives you the Bridge product with realt time streaming quotes, level 2, live news feeds, charting, etc. While you can't preference ECNs like you can with my direct access broker - I have gotten extremely quick fills on market orders unless I am bidding in size - in which case the order is split up and filled a bit at a time (the only downside of not being able to preference an ECN).
