Perhaps you should use a time-register and doubleclock the delay? This might prove more efficient (though more expensive initially).

If rdram on a cost-benefit analysis makes sense for users and makers, then more rdram will be sold. it doesn't have to be the cheapest, just best cost-benefit tradeoff. then there will be more sales on which rmbs will earn royalties. of course, as price comes down on rdram, royalty fee will come down per unit. but, if units sold increases enuf, total royalty can increase significantly.
