No, you don't seem to get it. Someone who believes in God believes in an intrinsic order of value. Whether right or wrong, he is not "play acting", insofar as he is sincere in his belief. Someone who does not believe in God, in asserting meaning, has to be play acting, since he believes, underlying, that there is no intrinsic value to things, but acts as if there were.
