<because demand never materialized>

Gold fell this week because the spec buying was aggressively met by commercial sales (nearly six million ounces)in the thinly traded Comex pits. That's not insignificant, but more from a short term trading point of view, than anything relating to fundamentals in the long term market. Commercials could just as easily be long again within two weeks at the 275 level.

Ken, Watch as people suddenly realize that gold has value just like oil, water, gas. The dimwits that trade this stuff have no idea what its worth.

Gold has unique properties which are critical to technology. The current price reflects more of the financial mess the banks have created by keeping the price low.

Definitely wouldn't want to be "caught short".
