I thought some of that too. But IBM's S80 *apparently*
hasn't dented UE10000 sales. The S80 is not only a better
performer but it is much cheaper to run. Oracle charges
per CPU and the S80 does more with 32 CPUs than UE10000
does with 60. This is one of IBM's "talking points" when
going up against UE10000. That said, seems Sun has established itself in the minds of CIOs and the like as
the de facto high-end Unix solution.
