Residential prices are still strong, though appreciably off their highs. But inventory is increasing, as well as the average time to find a buyer. If these trends continue, prices will begin to weaken at an accelerating rate.

Otoh, the weather is beautiful, and we have easy access to beach, mountains, and bright lights. High tech may be suffering from the flu, but the doctors say it isn't going to die, so I still have rate Silicon Valley as one of the premier places to live and work in the USA.
