I think this is much more of a problem for the left (JMHO)

Only if you don't consider this week's events in the Senate a problem.

<<<I think this is much more of a problem for the left (JMHO). JLA >>>

I think self-regarding carelessness of the lives and struggles and suffering of others is an equal-opportunity intoxicant; and I think that in our country the left has to pedal fast to catch up to the right's sanctimonious willingness to increase the sum total of human suffering on the third world family planning issue alone.

I'd like to mention something truly remarkable and impressive about this country: Even though Amadou Diallo was in the U.S. illegally, his parents have been give leave by our government to stay here and become media stars being paraded about by Al Sharpton and associates to give hate speeches about how racist the American judicial system is, and to call those cops "murderers."

I personally would be interested to know what the politically activist Diallo family's record is of speaking out against extra-judicial political (not accidental), killings in their own lovely country, Nigeria.

I don't blame the parents. They are in distress, and are doing what comes naturally; and they are being used by opportunists.

I do think it's unfair on the part of the demagogues who are using them (many of them who ruined lives promulgating Tawana Brawley's lies, including, if I remember correctly, at least one innocent cop's life), and that those who jump on the bandwagon calumniating those cops should be a bit surer that the jury in the case was wrong before they do so, however appealing doing so is to white liberals.
