>Systech has announced a 1.8GHz AMD Tbird with full AMD warranty

and these are shipping in volume in x86 servers and low-power notebooks, or even better, DELL is stockpiling hundreds of millions of those that will eventually drive IN`TC out of business :-)

Pete
nice to hear that performance is replaced by MHz on intel thread. Those p4s may not perform well but, boy, they oscillate better than anything else <gggg>

Pete, do you have a URL for the Systech-AMD 1.8 GHz machine?

Tony

Hi Pete, could you clarify your definition of "full AMD warranty"

[EDIT: Just noticed your post, Windsock]

Here is the definition of "full AMD warranty" that I found:

"AMD provides a three (3) year limited warranty on its line of boxed processors." (http://www.amd.com/support/pib.html)

Yet, according to

sys.com

your Systech system's CPU warrantee is:

"The system is backed by a limited six year warranty on memory, five years on labor, and three years on parts (excluding KryoTech-supplied components). There is a one year limited warranty for parts and labor on the KryoTech-supplied components (CPU, chassis, power supply, motherboard and cooling subsystem). "

It looks like AMD is willing to back up neither KryoTech nor SysTech on their overclocked Athlons.
