Gloopie, I had bought my hub a CD burner for Christmas. It was one that connected to the computer. He did not want that type. (Said he did not want to have to compete with me for use of the 'puter. what a wise man he is!!) He has sooooo many disks and albums on hand that he did not feel he needed to use the Burner with the computer. Buying CD's is his one vice. (not complaining!!) Well, just recently we finally purchased a burner that does not need to be used with the computer, but can be, if he wants to connect it. He was first looking at a unit put out by a company called Dupe-it. Those units seemed to be more for professionals, and were quite costly. He ended up getting a Philips unit, Model CDR775. Some units have just the disc section for putting the disc that is being burned in, and then you connect it to your other components. This on has two disc trays, so that you can use just this unit. He also got a Sony Disc player that holds 400 disc's He can connect it to the burner and program it to the tracks he wants on the disc being burned. Yes, I realize that it holds many more disc's than he will need in one burning session. But He has made alphabetically listings of his favorite bands and put them on to tapes. I am betting he will reburn these using the disc's. Maybe some year he will post his ABC list of the Beatles recording, including both as a band and individual releases. He has put that collection on tape in about 1990. It took approximately 40, 110 minute tapes. Some songs that have so many different versions released, he only put snipits of them on.
