Rented and watched "The Five Senses" last night X , that you recommended,
and thouroughly enjoyed the movie...

without going overboard ,
liked the very real ways it explored the deeper
essence of who we are, the elements we share ,
when placed in trying
circumstances.

...we open up sometimes
to see a larger hidden world opened up.
much that can be shared , we all can share
if there was a route opened up. What we all thought
we saw of ourselves , was only touching the surface
of the pool.

Not over-long , with interesting characters, especially
touching to me was the French Doctor who upon being
told his sense of hearing was being lost , he
goes on a quest, of just hearing things
perhaps for the last time, and finds that
touching "someone" towards the end
who shows him there other things to
hear in the vibrating
of our own hearts.

It was a nice touch , throughout all the other interwoven
scenes to find the good doctor just leaning up
against a wall , eyes closed .... just listening ever so much more intently and hearing "sounds" , which for him
might possibly be for the last time.

Kept getting that same thrilling sense of
the way I felt when watching "Wings of Desire" , when
the Angels were standing close to us , just watching
and listening....what is it they were
seeing and hearing
in us ?

very nice film.

thanks for recomending it X...

( you can be my teacher anyday )
