I believe that the majority of camera manufacturers will recognize that having a card slot is better for both the manufacturer and the consumer. By including a card slot and a minimal size card, the manufacturer avoids both the need to decide how much flash should be included and the price/supply problems of maintaining an inventory of flash chips. The consumer can choose between cameras without flash capacity being a factor and can expand capacity over time as needs change or flash prices decline.
