I access my Exchange directly with my Jornada. And with the other devices, I am able to filter and forward email and reply just as easily. The exchange redirector that rimm uses is nice but hardly enough to justify the stock's valuation. Its funny how many gadgets have come and gone these last couple years yet people keep thinking that you can create a billion dollar company off one gadget. A better method for redirecting email from an exchange server, i would say it is second to actually accessing the exchange server through a properly configured firewall. By the way, you can configure a fire wall to do anything you want, and i can configure a palm or kyocera phone to work with exchange server in the same manner as the rimm as far as email goes. The one and only exception would be that when you delete the email from the palm it would still be sitting in your exchange mailbox. Unlike with my jornada it deletes it from both, including contacts and appointments etc. Thats because i configured the jornada, the exchange server AND the firewall.
