PLEASE, NO MORE PAUL.....

I received the following as a private email message, which
is self-explanatory:

==========================================================

Hello James,

I'm what you call an SI lurker, this means that I don't want or need to
post, so I'm just reading.
I don't have a "Member account", so I can't ignore Paul Engel (It worked
about 6 months ago but this feature seems to have disapeared) So I HAVE to
"read" the prose of Mr P.E. AND the answers...
So please tell everybody NOT to answer P.E. mail. There are many people who
have to read him (or "it" because I very often doubt he ("it") is human
being).

B.t.w Just look back at his last 1000 posts and tell me what makes you think
:

"He seems quite knowledgeable in a number of respects."

Best regards,

Christian Morant

Belgium

P.S. If you want to post this message please do.

Fyo - Re: "If the "NexGen K8" was anything like the K5 (i.e. high-IPC, but low-MHz), AMD most likely made a very good decision."

The K5 was an Internal AMD team - from the Austin 29000 group.

As for Previte and Barton and Burkett - these were senior managers - with Previte being the VICE Chairman - going back at least 20+ years with AMD.
