Great to hear from you,Venkie!

I found this thread when I searched for "MP3," and it seemed like the right place to post my question. Later I scanned the recent posts and read some of yours. Thanks for the nice note.

I'm with you 100% about moving on from the intense focus on the market. I try to take some day positions among a handful of stocks where I know the trading patterns and ranges, buy a 1,000 shares, set tight stops, and then try to scalp 50-cent gains here and there ... enough to add up to a decent weekly net profit. I tell my wife that I now feel like the stock market equivalent of the homeless guys that scrounge through the dumpsters looking for nickels and dimes. How the mighty have fallen! (Not that I was ever very mighty).

My wife and I got into Napster in time to download many hundreds of our favorite tunes. Napster seems totally dead in the water now, but we have just about everything that we might have ever wanted in our music files that we can play without Napster. Now this old time radio stuff has come along as well, which I enjoy a lot.

Lately, I have been spending a lot of time outdoors doing some major landscaping projects on our property here in Maine. Getting plenty of fresh air and doing some hard physical work is making me feel a whole lot better than the days when I would be at the computer all day.

I was very interested to read about your new Dell. I have been thinking of getting a new computer myself, but one thing that is stopping me is the problem of transferring all the files from my present computer, especially the Napster files. Did you find a way to solve this problem when you got your new one?

I'm very glad for you that life is treating you well. Pretty much the same here, especially with our two Goldens who have become such an important part of our lives.

My best to you and your family!
