Hi, VAUGHN:

Conspiracy theories aside, I disagree for the most part with what you say.

Further, I didn't realize that in your neck of the woods, personal attacks were proper substitutes for logic.

My first purchase of SUF was at 4.75; I continued to buy all the way down to 1.00, and have even bought some on the way back up. Would that make me a long-term shareholder in your view? Probably not, but I consider myself a shareholder who wants to build value, too. I just have a different view on how that value can and should be built.

But, perhaps you don't want or accept different viewpoints from your own? That would be my take, considering the level that you've taken this discussion...

Sorry I can't give your post a proper rebuttal, but I've still got some of my holiday to enjoy...

Geoff

Hi Vaughn, I've been around these threads as long as you have and you know that, Geoff is sort of a newcomer but only relative to his time posting, I remember well that you were a bigger drum banger than Geoff ever was or will be, so what, you've become a cynical sort thru your experiences and no doubt many several thousands of shares of Suf (and who could blame you) Geoff, IMO, is a sincere, interested, young, stockholder and not even close to being a promoter or manipulator, you are way off base, and quite frankly owe the young man an apology, IMO, both of you guys add a tremendous amount of insight to the various threads, I have always enjoyed your commentaries.........that aside, I think a lot of what you say about 1st world assets being a better investment is quite true however I think a mighty buck can still be made on Sufs Messina asset......hey SouthernEra is an exploration company why are you considering it a long term play anyway...??? c'mon lighten up a little and go have a Molson's, I'm going out on the deck and have a Bud Light, have a good one.....

Hi Vaughn.

Long Winter? ;-)

"This is not management performance" . Look back at the balance sheet that the new BOD inherited. Negative working capital , significant deferred taxes , those ugly convertible debentures etc. In the past year:

1. Feasiblity studies and excellent JV terms completed re Klip and Camafuca.

2. New CEO and COO.

3. Streamlined exploration programme (modest financing to evaluate McKay potential)

4. Messina - ownership position increased from 54-70% , senior debt secured , API initiative announced, balance pending but on the cusp.

To my mind , the BOD has done everything they said they would do. For some reason , and without any apparent basis of understanding of the options/alternatives available to SUF , you seem intent on trashing the company for some rumoured sale of a part of the Messina asset. Given your historical level-headed contributions to this board , I find this strange , to say the least. I might go so far as to suggest that the tenor of your posts are sufficiently perplexing as to call into question your motivations to at least the same extent as you are apparently willing to call into question the motivations of others.

My motivation is to make $$$. I don't think I will make money on SUF if I approach it as a long-term diamond play; the industry is unstable and SUF is too small a player. As you know , I have held / bought SUF in the last couple of years pretty much on the strength of Messina alone; is it a long-term investment for me? - I don't know. I'll reassess in the fall.

Regards .
