You may think that the solution to an enviro-whacko-caused energy crisis is to simply hug more trees. Normal people call on those who know how to produce energy. You resent the energy industries because they come along after you have made your enviro-whacko mess on the floor and change your diapers and proceed to clean up your mess. There is a real America out there that appreciates someone finally keeping you under control...

In order for California's self-imposed calamity to be solved, someone will have to make a large profit to do it. Why else would any of us bother, rather than let you all slip back into the stone age?

There is no better allocation of economic resources at the current time than to those who would destroy the California enviro-whacko movement and turn the state's lights back on.

Clowns? How's this for clown - in the midst of an energy crisis (and do not doubt there is a crisis, energy consumption is projected to grow over 60% in the next 4 years) jokers like you continue to revile increased energy production and argue we should resort to "conservation." What, precisely, is your proposal? I have yet to hear any Leftie/Greenie make any. You can throw around the word "conserve" all you want, but unless you have real, concrete, proposals that do not cause even more shortages you're just blowing hot air.

Conservation as espoused by the Greens do not work, are draconic, and ignore economic forces. The only sort of conservation I have heard from your camp is price controls (time to retake Econ 101 folks), increased taxation on gasoline to "reduce consumer demand" (that is, screw the consumer by artificially raising prices and skewing the supply/demand mechanics), and stifling every attempt to expand energy infrastructure. The dolt that typifies your type is Gov. Davis, who demands federal price caps. Bright move - obviously didn't listen to his teacher in basic Economics in high school.
