rrman, The same is true, in a different way, about the folks who make a killing on the street and still live hand to mouth because they increase their spending by that amount and more. I've known so many of them that it is the rule rather than the exception. I think they are related to the folks who have to lose. Spending it all is a guaranteed way to lose in the long haul.

I see this at the race track, too. It isn't thrilling for some guys unless the bet will hurt if they lose. I have NEVER bet on some four legged money eater more than my recreation budget, but I have seen it happen to others many times.

No wonder psychologists have waiting lists. <g>
