<<I watched on 60 minutes, how the supply of diamond is controlled. I was totally shocked. >>

I guess this is news now because of primetime TV but this has been a practice of DeBeers that has been well known for at least 20-30 years. It is one of the reasons I have never considered "investing" in diamonds. My wife doesn't care for jewelry so we don't own any. As I have watched the situation unravel in S. Africa over the last decade I find I have even less interest in putting money into something whose rarity is artificially created and which could end with the next civil war on that sorry continent.

Re. As in california, texan thugs are jacking up the price of electricity by stopping generators during critical time, they know their guys occupy white house. How sad and what happens when supply is controlled like diamond & electricity. IMHO.
Do you have any references to support this political statement and the other political statements your profile indicates you are fond of making? If not, please at least use OT to indicate off topic content in your posts.
Many of us believe that California's attempt to repeal the law of supply and demand if the source of their problems with power shortages, but do not burden others with our off topic opinions. TIA, Scott
