wow, i just checked in on norton antivirus and there under status items was a great big red X across real-time scanning (auto-protect), meaning it had been turned off. this is not a good way to run a pc. i am puzzled as to how it got turned off (i immediately turned it back on), and wonder if others with nav would mind checking the status of their real-time scanning.

:)

hi tc

re, "Very well said"

thank you

"I think I get more upset with myself than they get when they don't understand what I'm trying to say"

well it's probably a tie for who gets most upset, because many people have indicated that what they experience when confronted with puter probs is anywhere from panic to confusion. of course you get upset, because you care. but it's more of a drag if someone isn't getting it and they're not letting you know. that's what i am addressing.

"Perfect...should be in the thread header!"

are you saying it needs revising? <g3> i like the seven questions part (especially when a poster tries to give us some of that info!), and the thread originator part. where should i squeeze that reciprocity thing in? the header is going to start looking like the declaration of independence.... but when you think about it, maybe that is a cool thing... declaring ourselves independent of pc anxiety and helplessness!

i appreciate your input, as always, tc

:)
