You actually bring up an interesting (albeit perhaps somewhat obvious) point. There are different levels of "critical". For a nuclear plant, I wouldn't even think about using a Microsoft product - or a (conventional) PC, regardless of OS. In some cases, multiple redundancy can do the trick, other times that's just not enough.

Bill, thanks but it's not like they sent us a recall notice like they do with cars. Basically we complained about lockups and one day we got a call and they replaced ALL the i820 based systems. Not sure about what's going to happen with the i815 ones. The i820 are going for $29 on pricewatch so they must be total crap......

As the man says: "they must be total crap"
Dell does make nice cases though, better get some Athlons in them.
