Anyone else have a sneaking suspicion of disinformation on this LU-ALA deal? Why would they pre-announce lousy terms? Since when do companies give the Wall Street Journal their terms while a negotiation is still ongoing? And since when is no premium paid? And would the US government or shareholders ever approve such a deal? Must be something more to it which is why I'm considering buying LU here on the dip. Short arbitrageurs are suddenly all over it. Are they getting tricked? Or am I? And wouldn't this type of deal attract a bidding war?
