FROM WSJ: One possible predator for Ericsson: Siemens, a major supplier of communications networks for voice and Internet transmissions, which has seen its share price remain strong, in part because the company continues to achieve profitability in divisions such as the turbine-making power-generation unit, or its medical unit.

ERICY has a little known side interest in telemedicine.
IMO it might be worth doing some DD on a little known company that ERICY has a tie with called
CYBR.

March 16, 2001: CYBER-CARE, Inc. (Nasdaq:CYBR) announced that its Swedish subsidiary, CyberEuroCare AB, has signed a letter of intent with Alleato AB, a Swedish company owned by Swedish telecom company Ericsson, Swedish insurance group Skandia and Huddinge University Hospital, to form CyberEuroCare Nordic AB to market and sell the Electronic HouseCall® (EHC) System in the Nordic region (Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway and Iceland).

It is anticipated that Alleato will acquire a 30% share in CyberEuroCare NordicAB. In addition, as part of the anticipated joint venture, the parties would develop a co-branding methodology for Alleato sales in the Nordic region. Cyber-Care has begun the process of seeking regulatory approval for distributing the EHC System throughout Europe, including the Nordic region.
