MadDog, I've given up on our country maturing into a color-blind society as long as we continue to select candidates for employment and education based solely upon superficial qualities such as the color of our skin. By definition, endowing a select subset of society with special privileges (or is it rights and entitlements?) specific to that group entails depriving the rest of society with the same basic rights. All men are created equal? It looks great on paper.... At some point in time, society must look forward rather than try to absolve all the injustices of the past. Oh well, there's always another episode of the "Sopranos" to look forward to. Regards,
