Siemens is in a process of reorganization of its telecom part. Cognitation on "Siemens - NEC" reported. If Siemens will dominate the broadband market in Germany, and in Japan together with NEC, it will target a potential market of 200m people at the size magnitude of the US, and aiming for 40-50% market penetration thanks to insignificant competition due to political issues. This race might be more easy for Siemens than to get a foothold in the US broadband market. Also, rapid infrastructure build-outs in China, Korea and other developing countries in the region, cater to great opportunities for a solid Siemens/NEC entity in APAC.
