Pa. Coal Mining Irritating Homeowners

WAYNESBURG, Pa. (AP) - Jerry Jewell says the coal company
played fair, giving him money for repairs, delivering water to his home -
even fixing his pond.

But it didn't stop the insomnia, the anxiety attacks or the frustration of
not knowing what would happen to his house as mining machines
chewed out a 7-foot-tall seam of coal hundreds of feet below.
