SEP IRAs are available to all Americans in the sense that any American can be self-employed (and therefore have an SEP).

You, I'm sure, would prefer to make the claim that not all Americans have the capability to be self-employed. In that sense, I am glad <G> that people like you are around to hold their hands for them...

Actually, in reviewing the posts, I see that you first brought up the SEP IRA as a tax shelter for rich people. It's clearly not. And, like any retirement or deferred income plan, it's available to any American who meets the federal tax code qualifications.
