Ten, I second Paul's congratulations, and thanks, for your efforts on the Itanium/460GX platform.

For me personally, it's been almost four years since I joined up and started working on the 460GX project. Before that, I was just a naive college grad. Because of that, these past four years almost seems like an entire lifetime for me. It'll be strange now that I no longer have to wonder whether anything I work on will ever see the light of day.

I had a boss once who had spent his prior 15 years at IBM. He said that, in that time, nothing he worked on ever shipped. You don't have to worry about that now.

Tony

Ten,

My regards and thanks as well.

I don't know if this morning's WSJ article was accurate. If it was, it must have been a very bumpy ride the last four years.

John

Ten - Re: "plans are already being laid out for a third generation of Itanium processors and platforms. "

Good - GREAT !

That gives Intel's customers even more reason to adopt ITanium and develop for the LONG HAUL on this architecture.
