I am techologically challenged...my husband is the resident pc genius...we have a wireless lan at home with a idsl line...and thats what he said...so who am i to question his wisdom ? <g>

Seriously though, how do you intend for data to flow ? Are you talking of a laplink kind of transfer...? I have left that behind in the dark ages. I wondered if we could still do that though...

Over ethernet, it will be faster, but still, transferring 900 mp3 files all together - it would choke up your entire network...wouldn't it...?

And I used to configure networks back in early 90's, so my knowledge is a bit rusty, but won't you need a central server to make a transfer that large...? I don't think OMD has a server. Can a peer to peer make that kinda transfer ? I suppose one of them can be configured as a server but then, OMD would need server client software of some sort...???

Happydood took both notebooks to office and used the central server on a weekend to make a directory by directory transfer...but the amount of time required and the human intervention required was too much....

MadDog may have more patience than I do.
