I'm not sure what you mean by Progressive Capitalism.

Actually, it's probably not a perfect fit w/ my beliefs, but here's more on progressive capitalism: progressmovement.org

Monopolies are difficult in a truly free and innovating economy.

To an extent, yes... but not when you get into particular dynamics such as price fixing (agreed to by multiple companies/"competitors"), exclusive contracts, etc. IMO, we would be in deep sh!t if it weren't for the Sherman Antitrust Act. There will be plenty of competition soon w/ energy no doubt... prices should come down significantly in the next couple years thanks to the "over-awareness". Again, I am a big fan of Capitalism's strong points... my only problem is its weak point: there are losers to this game... people who will not win in the competitive battleground. This will only get worse as our economy becomes more and more reliant upon technology & well educated workers.

Creative destruction.

My second most favorite phrase in the world... first goes to "Creative Deconstruction", a term coined by GE's Jack Welsh. Again, I cannot tell you how strongly I believe in capitalism's good points... so much so that I am one of a very few who wish to see our borders completely open instead of wasting trillions to keep people out.

You attempt to imply that capitalism is a political system and it isn't whereas socialism most assuredly is.

Politics govern our economic reality/philosophy. Would you rather I say "Market Socialism"?
