RE:"Care to share your 'buy' sheets with us when you do acquire? Nahhh, you'd never do that (buy, I mean)."

Rambus may be a tradable stock at some point.
I think it really depends "a lot" on Intel.
Rushing a SDRAM shipset to market doesn't bode well for Rambus, holding back DDR does. Either the DDR variant of Brookdale is a lot harder to design or Intel is giving Rambus one last shot at catching on in the high end.
Brookdale DDR is supposed to be released in Q1 02. If they bring it sooner then that's a signal the Intel has pretty much given up on Rambus as high end main stream.
Meanwhile Intel is going to try to push P4 into the middle and even low end with SDRAM...and rely on "Megahertz sells".

DDR probably has little value with P3.

At some point Rambus could reach as value where it's a good buy even without P4, based on other uses but That's a 'wait and see"...
Then again, they could win a court case...in which case Rambus would become extremely volatile.
Hard to catch.
